Several ladies from the local chapter of the Red Hat Society stopped by the studio for a small tour with promotions assistant Scotty Lalonde.

Mix 97 promotions expert Kira Hurley and intern Garrett Smith were in Trenton at the 2009 M&M Meats Charity BBQ in support of The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada. With a rock wall and excellent food everyone had a great time for a good cause.

Staff from Mix 97, Rock 107 and CJBQ were at this year's Pull for Kids at the Quinte Mall, organized by the Lung Association. Thirteen teams toughed it out in the rainy weather to pull two 13 ton fire trucks, raising more than $27,500 to support local children with asthma.

Lorne Brooker broadcast live from the 16th bi-annual McHappy Day at McDonad's on North Front St. Several local notable people volunteered their time at McDonalds, working behind the counter and flipping burgers to raise funds to help out the Quinte Children's Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

CJBQ, Mix 97 and Rock 107 were at the Yardmen Arena to rally with fans for the Belleville Bulls before their Eastern Conference Championship series opener vs the Brampton Batallion.
